Let us return to basics—and toward this goal…

Yesterday, I wrote:
Let us return to basics and remember: there is no royal road to learning. Regular practice, repeatedly making errors and mistakes, and correcting them on every possible occasion. These alone can lead us to learn English; none of these elements can be lacking.

However, two complementary approaches to English are actually “learning” and “studying.”

As for the “studying” aspect, let us keep in mind that we should “always” be open-minded to a method for or an approach to analyzing English that is “new” and “unfamiliar” to us―be it Traditional (School) Grammar, Functional Grammar, Generative Grammar, Cognitive Grammar, Construction Grammar, Phrase-and-Chunk Method, or Template-Matching Model, to mention a few. Yes! To keep broadening your horizons and to be sincere, let us “always” learn something “new” with keen interest!

These two aspects, that is, “learning” and “studying,” constitute in tandem the “sound and solid foundation” of “using” or “out-putting” English―an ultimate goal in a sense.
